Bath

At 780 feet (238 metres) above sea level, Bath is Britain's highest flat racecourse and is about three miles from the spa city, and 10 miles from Bristol.

A left-handed oval track of one mile four furlongs and 25 yards, it has a home straight of nearly half-a-mile. Evening meetings take place in the summer months and racing has been held on the present site at Lansdown since 1811.

Left-handed track with a home straight of about half a mile. The uphill climb provides one of the stiffest sprint courses in the country. Draw favours low numbers in big fields but overall there is little effect.
